Hello there, I'm Jia Ying!

Currently, I am a Year 3 undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media specialising in Visual Communications. I enjoy doing illustrations and graphic design. Inspired by nature and the people around me, I continue to navigate my way through the world of art and design.

joöz: Sunrise Apple Ade is a self-branding project that captures my effervescent personality. Translated into a fun and energising ade, joöz is sure to perk you up!

The Sayang List - Postal Stamp Design

An extension of The Sayang List a list by WWF in collaboration with Singapore's NParks, the postage stamp collection features 4 threatened species with an aim to bring local nature closer to its people and to raise awareness for these animals. 

Anthozoa - Futurum Encyclopaedia

Set in the year 3010, Anthozoa is an encyclopaedia that introduces to the reader the evolution of 3 species of corals from the year 2020 to 3010 where corals have morphed with plastic ocean debris to form hybrids.

nendo - Editorial Magazine

A magazine based on the influential minimalist design studio based in Japan, nendo. It features iconic nendo designs to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

Data Visualisation - What is a Designer?

An exploration of a pure abstract imagery view of text extracted from Bruno Munari's What is a Designer essay, the data visualiser is an expression of textual and verbal delivery of the prose between the reader and Munari.
